Hermetic Perspective on "End of the World We Know"

From Dr. Sircus' Blog. I encourage you to read the entire post, which fleshes out details. (Although the title is bleak, the post focuses on informed opinion rather than doomsday prophecy.): End of the World We Know.

"As everyone is well aware, Europe is an absolute mess. The gravity of the global debt crisis is getting worse and for sure it’s the end of the world as we have known it. EU trade commissioner Karel De Gucht recently said, “The endgame has begun, and how it will finish I do not know.” There is an implosion happening in Greece, and Spain is not far behind with Portugal and Ireland running neck and neck into the full embrace of depression and life-shattering bank runs.

Greece is a big deal and Spain is even bigger. Right now the European Central Bank (ECB) is starting to cut off funds from several Greek banks and there is a run going on at the same time. Those banks are going down the toilet into a black hole and there will be a loud sucking sound as these banks pull hard on other banks. The Titanic is going down at the bow and just because you are at the stern (in the United States), not in Spain or Greece, it does not mean the cold waters of economic calamity are not going to come to the shores of your life...

Rich or poor, it makes little difference when we are challenged beyond our capacity to respond. Assuming that life will go on as it has these past decades is perhaps one of the greatest and most dangerous assumptions most people are making today. The mainstream news media feeds this almost universally-shared assumption, so when this greatest-of-all bubbles bursts, there will be hell to pay—that is for sure.

We are all going to have to turn our bows into more spiritual winds to manage the major upheavals headed our way. Depending on who and where you are, these major upheavals have already occurred leaving increasing millions desperate and without hope. The illusion of growth is fast fading and what will take its place is an ugly depression with a threatened currency collapse as trillions are printed to save the world from its own stupidity."

In the opinion of the publishers of this blog, there is some validity to what Dr. Sircus has written. How does one incorporate these ideas, from a Hermetic perspective? Many well meaning people would choose to ignore this negative and focus on keeping a positive attitude within their personal space, always a useful approach. However, viewed personally, it may be helpful to give some consideration to the protection of self, should social upheaval occur.This may well be no more than the idea of personal strength, or it may include a plan to leave a major metropolitan area, if necessary.

From a broader perspective, Hermetics sees the world in terms of binaries. At this time, there is a thoughtform of destruction, being fed by various religious apocalyptic groups, the extreme right-wing militias, etc. The binary opposition to this group is formed by those who expect a massive spiritual awakening. Hermetically, we would always seek to approach the center. Therefore, we are feeding the thoughtform of gentle transition and mild change. This precludes a massive change toward global happiness, but also global destruction.

Cougina has reinstituted a website similar to COUGINASPEAKS, the private social-networking site that was discontinued in 2010. COVINA HERMITICIA (Hermetic Covenant) will present a serious and explicit treatment of Hermetica, which (as you probably know) is and always has been controversial. This will be a very private site, and membership will be carefully screened. Violations of secrecy will result in banishment from the site, and possibly being “turned into a frog.”

We will try to post a minimum of three times per week. Some posts will be Agnes’s recording of Cougina’s ideas, and some posts will be videos of Cougina. The site will be similar to Facebook, in that each member will have a personal webpage, where comments and pictures can be posted, and private messages can be exchanged among members. We will discuss the entire realm of Hermetics, including the entire Corpus Hermetica, ritual and ceremonial magic, Kabalah, the Arcana, altar work, developing auric and telepathic abilities, the use of reflection and refraction in controlling your reality, and conceptual thought.

The Hermetic community has decided to make their presence known in this time, and teachings will be presented that have never been published. Refraction in Everyday Life

After tuning up the bikes, Cougina was sitting on the porch having a ciggy, when he called me to come look. The photo at left shows the refractive image on our shady sidewalk. We traced it to sunlight passing through a clear plastic bicycle reflector. Only after downloading the photo did we notice the visible beam of white light. Please note that the white light points to the red, and the prism spreads out from the red...

...We went back inside the casita, and Cougina noticed another prism on our front door. Notice the dirty water spots in the background of the photo at right. Hermetics who were involved in our recent discussion of the order of purple and indigo in the chakra system, please notice that the red flows into green, blue, and purple, and and that the edges, in fact the entire surround, is that very dark purple-into-black that we call indigo.

Why Aren't You a Telepath?

Telepathy per se really means universal consciousness. It is absolute surrender of self. While not total surrender to the whole, it is surrender of self to every other individual who has managed to totally surrender to his or her own SELF. 

Several well-known techniques may be used in order to try and show you, not only the validity, but also the practicality of the telepathic process, but one must be aware of the inhibiting factors to achieving telepathy (which goes hand in hand with your auric potential). One who judges violence certainly wouldn't want to see violence. One who judges self on any level certainly doesn't want anyone else to KNOW. If one questions anyone, one must be willing to present that. Adversely, one must ultimately also be willing to be questioned.

It is not an abstract space. It is a space you were born into. It is a space that you removed yourself from the first time you wanted your mother to change your diaper because you really just wanted to experience her love. You had just wet your pants a few moments before. Modern diapers are very comfortable, you just wanted her attention. But instead of being truthful and waiting until she had time to supply it, you decided to scream your ass off until she came and looked at you with love and surrendered to you, even though she was frustrated and busy. You have continued to exacerbate this problem in every way, whenever you did one thing to achieve another, for however many years you are old.

If you really wish to reverse this process, one way that we could help you is to take you back through that process. This is impractical, because it would take the equivalent in time of your present age, if we went through each individual circumstance. Our Hermetic program of development is capable of returning you to that original selfishness (little self) and working with you through that, to where you once again become HIGHER SELF.
If you're too busy doing your hair, entertaining your friends, or creating more judgements or issues, at best you could at least mark time and not remove yourself any further from your SELF. That really doesn't require a whole lot of attention. However, we can get you there in a few months, if you pay attention. Old Man's Update

Altar work. Where's the light coming from?

From his old lady's point of view...

First, about the photo. If you will trust me about the setup of this altar meditation, there are always seven candles, which you can see sitting on the altar. My chalice is not on the altar; it looks as if I am drinking from it in this photo. Why does the chalice appear as a ball of light?

We are settled into our little casita in Tucson, keeping busy with several major to-do items.

** We desire that Aggie/Augusta complete her path. That will allow me full auric vision, telepathy with other adepts, and the ability to be so much more helpful to Cougina in his work.

** We desire that Cougina be healthy. The old man has plenty of mojo to maintain his health. However, he uses most of it to help others! (Forgive my impinging on your bad boy image, dear.) He has work yet to do, and I want his company for awhile.

** We desire enough income to survive. The vending business has suffered the economic slump. We are hoping that donations from readings, healing jewelry, and teaching will support us modestly.

** We desire to reach the people who are looking for consciousness expansion. We are hoping to use the internet skillfully to reach out to those who wish the assistance of a high adept to contact Higher Self, using this non-dogmatic Hermetic approach. Cougina loves to speak, and he is excited that, with our new video conferencing ability, he can use the auras of his listeners to tailor his communications.

PLANETARY AURA 10 DAYS BEFORE THE SOLSTICE

My, my, my. Woke up this morning with the wind in my hair. Aware of a small earthquake down in Mexico City. How strong were those Santa Ana winds in southern California? Some say close to a million people without power. And, for the first time in recorded history, 8"  of rain on the east coast of Florida. Oh my, oh my, oh my.

Here we are, coming up just a little over a week now, from the 2011 winter solstice. And a lot of the havoc that has been predicted by the negative thought-formers is increasing almost daily.

It would seem that even the naysayers should be listening to some of the soothsayers. Whether or not there is any such thing as climate change caused by man (I'll leave that argument to the scientists and politicians.), something is certainly going on. (Remember that old song, "Hey, what's happening here?") Whether it be caused by a cyclic change (Wouldn't that be a mess, going the way of the dinosaurs?) or has something to do with the abuse of our mother the Earth, would seem to me basically irrelevant at the present time.

Would not a thinking person slowly realize that, irregardless of the reason or cause of these situations, some definitive expression of concern for the planet itself might perhaps be appropriate? Yesterday morning, my lady Augusta and I watched a wonderful eclipse of the moon. While the day was less than satisfactory from a monetary point of view, on the drive back, Augusta actually experienced the planetary aura. Unfortunately, the aura was pink. In the hermetic phiilosophy, when we see pink in a human aura, it would represent a feminine being in a state of pregnancy. Lordy, lordy, lordy. Is the earth pregnant? Is she going through rebirth? How are you going to handle this? Will you continue to tear her apart, blow smoke in her face, or will you slowly realize that she deserves respect? Without it, she will replace you with a sentient being capable of respecting her.

Often people make fun of the true hermetic adepts, who attempt to preach without dogma that we must protect and respect the concept of mother Earth. Are they incorrect? Is it possible that all these religious philosophies that say, "only if you believe in me will you be saved?" is a carryover from ancient Druidic and Eleusinian philosophies?

You know, certainly, that Christmas, Halloween, Easter, all of these supposed contemporary holidays are interpreted from the ancient pagan beliefs. Is it not possible that that concept of "believe in me or be DAMNED" is not also a carryover from the Druidic and Eleusinian theosophies that said that one must love and respect the planet that we come from? Why was the slowest growing tree the most revered? Why did the ancient people already understand the concepts and consequences of the solstices and equinoxes? Here we are, in an extremely developed, highly technological industrial environment, and yet all we seem capable of thinking of is self, and believe me that is lower case. The hell with the others. Take care of self and worry about the rest later.

How do you, as a so-called human being, in any way justify the system that you've supported that allowed you to achieve this comfort and at the same time has excluded any possibility of your progeny and their progeny from ever getting there? I remember buying a house in 1951 for $12,000. Of course, I only  made $100/week. That was middle class. Now, if your child is fortunate enough to have a job paying $500/week, they are below the poverty level, and the average home costs over $100,000. It does not work with a 500% increase in income, and a 1000% increase in needs. Yet, a small minority have achieved a 100,000% increase in income, and this has been allowed by your selfishness, or apathy, or perhaps even ignorance -- thinking that as long as everything was ok today, somehow tomorrow would take care of itself. You have 375 days left until the supposed awakening (Should we call that reawakening?) of the planet. While I am not insisting on the Mayan or New Age philosophical viewpoints, I think that a certain amount of credence should be given to the concept that thoughts become things.

SOLSTICE CELEBRATION WITH DON LUIS AND COUGINA

We are very happy to announce that we will be conducting our first streaming video, interactive class and meditation on 12/21/11. Guess when that is, folks? In order that the meditation be placed exactly at the time of the solstice, the class will begin at 10 PM, with a meditation at 10:30, and then presentations by both Don Luis, on the Native American perspective of 2012, and by Cougina, on the hermetic perspective, followed by a Q&A session. It's important to note that this is Arizona time, so if you live in Houston, it's 11 pm. In Asheville or Palm Beach, it's midnight. If you're fortunate enough to live in California, it's 9 pm. If you happen to be in Europe, the Middle East, or Asia (believe me, we're getting some interest from there), you may have to take a break from your workday.

This solstice celebration marks the beginning of the fulfillment of a long time dream of mine, to teach hermetics on a world wide basis. We're planning to go online with regular classes and discussion groups soon. Please understand that the technology is brand new, and makes Skype look like kindergarten. At the present time, the most expensive technology available will only allow 6 people on screen while we are presenting, while the other 9 will be able to view and ask questions, either through audio or chat. We're also able to do straight audio presentations with this software to hundreds of people, which will be happening in the future.

We have had to purchase cameras, microphones, and software in order to do this, and we certainly hope that those of you who wish to attend will be as generous as possible when you hit that Donate button to sign up. How to approach the study of Kabbalah?

My first suggestion to you would be that Kabbalah/Cabala/Quabala is a method of processing input from the five senses in order that one may achieve extra senses. No matter the philosopher, it still boils down to the creation of your individual concept. Certainly as a landsman, you have at least developed a small awareness of the Sephir Yetsirah. I myself am a Romney gypsy, but lifelong Hermetic (will avoid the past). My concept would be that Kabbalah is the most serious and esoteric attempt by an individual to connect ten intelligences (the spheres) using 22 pathways or concepts (the major Arcana), moving the concepts around in any way necessary, so that one may achieve the supposed unknowable, Ain Soph.

THE TRUE CONCEPT OF HERMETICS

The objective, my friends, is to actually wish that you remember this: Everyone says how disorganized I present this thing, so I'm about to organize your ass. Did you read this? Is the figure familiar? Or, perhaps you prefer this?


One of the most amazing things about this wonderful symbol over here is that there are 22 paths between 10 intelligences. Our job, if you will allow us, is to move your intelligence from Malkuth.

As a result of that, we must make you aware of the various pathways between the diverse intelligences. Unfortunately, even were you to offer me massive amounts of money, the journey to Kether is not for sale. It is something that happens within and without of self. All 22 pathways must be followed, and all 10 intelligences must be experienced.

And, them old Eastern bastards sure had it down. They called it karma. You gotta do the whole thing. They gave you a little break. They call that dharma. Sorta means it's your choice. But no matter how you cut the mustard, my friends, if you really want to play around with that concept of God, or Goddess, or any other form of universal consciousness, you will at some point experience all 10 of these intelligences, and you will approach each and every one of them from all 22 paths.

For your convenience, up on the right we have the tree inside the tree. One going one way, and another one going the other way. We are preparing, or about to, or any way your consciousness would prefer to deal with it, to approach the epiphany of self on SELF. Suddenly, the entire concept of masculine and feminine will be joined as Chokmah meets Binah, and we have been trying to teach you and assist you in understanding the rest of the separations and congruencies that exist in this wonderful mathematical and geometrical example of reality.
You can travel the world//You can investigate the universe//Been to Sedona?//Have you tried Christianity/Buddhism/ad infinitum or are you one of them new age motherfuckers that settle for Zen?

If you consciously follow any of the above, or any other truism, (OH) you're certainly aware of the concept that somehow we are all one. It does not matter whether you be good or bad, male or female, up or down, left or right, correct or incorrect, Republican or Democrat, Christian or Muslim. If you follow any one of those theosophies, you must accept that we are all one.
Picture One as one rubber band. For the last several thousand years, that rubber band has been pulling against itself, as we have been arguing and trying to decide which one is One.
If we really wish things to proceed without opposition, if we really do not want 12/21/12 to be a negative (recognizing that thoughts become things), perhaps // just maybe // perhaps it may be possible to just stop things from getting any worse by the simple expedient of not judging your neighbor or yourself. This, my friends, is the hermetic philosophy. We do not need Azatoth, the Druids, the Egyptians, or any other ancient concepts to assist us in understanding the need of acceptance to allow continuity as we make the change and pass judgments to future realities.
You have decided that you actually want to seek higher self. (I might mention that they're tracking us right now because we're constantly stealing their graphics.) So your concept of self/SELF, your ability to proceed in this time-spatial context, your willingness to investigate without judgement is your most powerful tool and our job is to assist you in that process.

So we're going to allow you a rough look at our thoughts. As we prepare these wonderful little tidbits of knowledge for you, these are the things we think of.

GROW UP

As we enter this totally screwed up 2012 period, it's time to grow up. I don't care if you believe in Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed. Depending on your orientation, you may change the order of them. Oh, god damn, I'm not supposed to like judgement.  Read it, dude. We're months away from what could be the best or worst thing that has ever happened in this time-spatial place. (LET'S GET OUR SHIT TOGETHER.)

Everyone's worried about, oh, what's my aura doing. Hell, I got a a friend worried about whether his GD pecker can get hard. And then I got a lady friend that is so interested in accepting everything that she can't accept anything outside her space. C'mon, c'mon, c'mon. 389 days now till 12/21/2012. As a result of this, we have decided to add the DAILY OOMPH (which is just a couple of Tarot cards and a little intuition), for those who are either intellectually or financially unable to join COVINA HERMITICIA. Every morning now, there will be a little gadget called the DAILY OOMPH, just for fun. Always positive, within the possible. Today's OOMPH...

Good morning! Another wonderful day. As you can see from the cards, we have a return of the Ace of Cups, which is a solidly positive emotional card, the Ace of Disks, which is a powerful material card, and that wonderful Beth, the Priestess.  All in all, a wonderful day. It could easily be interpreted as a day to spend money on those you love, i.e., Christmas shopping. And giving can be so much fun, particularly to your partner and family. We still have that Mercury retrograde, so caution is advised, but, all in all, an absolutely wonderful day. Have fun, be happy, remember to love yourself.

THE PLANETARY AURA

First of all, let me be perfectly clear that this is my interpretation of the thoughts and feelings of my community, not necessarily representative of consensus at all points. The planet is a living thing. Even in order to think, one must think that humanity would be the most evolved orgasm on the planet. Now, just to give you an example, I had to stop and think. After that last big O, because my partner's consciousness went one way, and mine went the other. That's why life consciousness is not organic but an orgasm. Believe me that rock or that mountain lives as really as that tree. The planet itself has an auric being that I refer to as Douani. In many ancient cultures, various spellings of this living concept of the planet have existed and manifested. They really are all the same. The planet equates to your expression (human, that is) of love. A truly caring and benevolent entity that, from an egotistical point of view, is here to do nothing more than to support you.

Now comes the hard part. That perception is entirely true. The planet is here for you. However, somehow, in the last hundred years or so, we seem to have lost respect for our support system. We carve large chunks out of her, and carry her to various places in order to change her to suit our purpose. Buildings, bridges, highways. Drill holes in her, and suck her vital fluids, change them, refine them, abuse them, and eventually use them to infect her very atmosphere, her very process of breath.

DOUANI, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING SO PATIENT AND PUTTING UP WITH US FOR SO VERY LONG. Please, from this point forward, allow us to accept some responsibility for our actions. Be patient with us, and allow us to find solutions or at least apologize for the pain and discomfort we have caused you. Please, oh please, allow us to assist you in reestablishing that beautiful white light of health that maintains us in our ignorance and assists us in our evolutionary development toward balance.

CONCEPTUAL THOUGHT AND TELEPATHY

Conceptual thought means that your thoughts automatically assume the entire concept in processing... For instance war and peace are the opposites of the same concept//so are love and hate and so forth//so one must first recognize opposites before one can even begin the process...

Many times I have seen people attempting to do good end up harming instead because they were not aware of the totality of the concept and ended up harming themselves or others//ONE MUST ALWAYS LOOK AT THE ENTIRE PICTURE//Say a salesman or ad convinces you that you want something. If you were to take food out of your kids' mouths or cost them a needed pair of shoes, where is the good in this? And that is just the small and easy stuff that many manage to understand...

SUPPOSE: You are going to a healer to remove negatives from your astrosome, is there enough validity in the process that you can be assured that no positives are removed, are you sure of the negative in relationship to your whole being?//What is to be done with that energy once removed?//PHYSICS TELLS US THAT ENERGY CANNOT BE DESTROYED//Who is the practitioner sending it to?// Or is it just to float around looking for a new person to attach to...
